For many years I have loved campervans, the adventure, practicality and flexibility, they are just fantastic vehicles. Over the years I have spent time with the family going to the beach in comfort, exploring the country and parking up in all sorts of interesting and inspirational places and sometimes just getting to school early to beat the traffic and have breakfast in the van!

 

I have used them to work from, take the kids to school every day and as a racing driver I regularly use my campervans to travel to circuits and stay over a race weekend, well rested and no need to travel for early starts and a great place to sit and prepare or for guest to be during all the waiting around between races.

Having a little home from home brings so many uses I have never thought of before and with young children a comfortable place to rest during a day out and have nap time mean everyone enjoys their time out that little bit more.

 

Having built a few diesel vans, I now wanted to build a new van for myself that was electric, eco friendly, functional, looks great and most importantly lasts.

 

While creating my own van, I found some great builders out there, but everything is done to a price, the vans look great internally, but with low margins and high competition they are never quite what you need. Often the interiors look fantastic, but the electric system is basic, or the exterior still looks like  a plumbers van, not the desirable vehicle you want to use every day and be proud of.

And so Plug and Roam was born.

We don't scrimp on the electrical systems,  we build systems that will last and power all of the devices or appliances you may want to plug in. From your mobile phone, to microwaves, air fryers, kettles, tools and garage equipment, whatever you want to use you're covered, wherever you are.

Every van is built to be used everyday. They fit in a standard parking space and importantly under standard height restrictions, at less than 2m high they are no taller than many SUVs, with low profile solar panels to make sure the vans are as practical as they are comfortable, so you won't be caught out unable to park up.

 

You take the kids to school, park up somewhere inspirational and work in comfort, safe in the knowledge there's plenty of power for all devices, cold drinks in the fridge, maybe pop something in the microwave for lunch, pull out the air fryer or go for the traditional hobs, whatever takes our fancy we have it covered.
